Surrounded by mountains, spruce forests, and Alpine meadows stands Vila Planinka, a boutique hotel that does not rely on loud luxury. Its strength lies in peace, nature, and the feeling that there is no need to rush anywhere. The kitchen celebrates locality with an innovative touch, guided by enough sensitivity to ensure that flavours never lose their connection to the environment - yet without confining them to predictable classics. From the homemade bread and the opening bites alone, it becomes clear that the kitchen does not wait for the main course to reveal its skill. One dish that remains especially memorable is the smoked potato ravioli. Potato, one of the most familiar and humble ingredients, feels anything but ordinary here. Equally outstanding is the pike-perch fillet, served with almond purée. At Vila Planinka, guests with different dietary preferences are treated with the same level of creativity and respect for ingredients.
