Gault&Millau's review 2026

Rizibizi is no newcomer, but a restaurant shaped by experience and quiet confidence. Standing right by the sea, the nearby coast is not merely a beautiful view, but an essential part of its culinary identity. Fresh, local ingredients form the foundation of every dish, and their quality is evident in every bite. The kitchen feels light and effortless, yet remarkably precise. Among the cold starters, the tuna tartare and sea bass carpaccio stand out. A special highlight is the raw seafood platter, unfolding the freshness of Adriatic flavours, while foie gras and Pata Negra add a luxurious and refined dimension to the menu. Scallops with truffles are always an excellent choice, as are the homemade fuži with truffles. At Rizibizi, tradition and contemporary interpretation come together seamlessly. The gnocchi with rabbit bring a comforting, almost rustic note that beautifully rounds out the offering. The main courses continue the story of the sea and coastline: Piran sea bass fillet is prepared either Mediterranean-style or with truffles, while Adriatic scampi arrive grilled or prepared alla buzara. For guests craving meat, the kitchen also offers ribeye steak and Pata Negra cheeks, every dish prepared with the same respect for ingredients and precision in execution. Rizibizi convinces without grand gestures, through pure flavours and a kitchen that knows when to let its ingredients speak for themselves.
