Gault&Millau's review 2026

The first thing that catches your eye at Jadro is the large open grill: a clear sign of the restaurant’s culinary focus. The atmosphere of an elegant tavern is immediately appealing, but it quickly becomes clear that the experience revolves not only around the setting, but above all around flavour. The meal begins with roasted eggplant served with walnut sauce and sprinkled with cheese curds. The chef’s playful reference to Canadian poutine - fries topped with gravy and cheese curds - is unexpected and memorable. Every bite feels carefully balanced. The grilled turbot arrived in a pan with olive oil, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, garlic, and, of course, parsley. For any lover of seafood, that description alone says plenty. The fish was beautifully grilled, its crisp skin giving way to moist, meaty flesh. The accompanying vegetables blended naturally into the dish. Although the menu is deeply rooted in a love of the sea, meat lovers are not overlooked. There are plenty of options for those who prefer more robust flavours. The meal concludes on a sweet note with a crème brûlée that feels like the perfect finale to a seafood feast. This version leaves little to chance: breaking through the caramelised sugar crust reveals a silky, rich custard beneath, smooth in texture and full of flavour.
