Gostilna Repolusk is not a place for a quick meal and an even quicker departure. It is a house with a long history and a clear sense that cooking is still guided by skill, experience, and genuine care. More than a century of hospitality lives on here, now in the hands of the fourth generation of the Repolusk family, along with the warmth guests feel from the moment they arrive. The food remains rooted in tradition without being trapped by it. The dishes are modern and refined, showing a contemporary touch that feels like a natural evolution rather than an attempt to follow trends. Tradition remains recognisable, yet fresh enough to surprise. The experience begins with a welcoming selection of amuse-bouches. Served on wooden boards are charcoal bread, a local cheese fritter, and a soft bao bun filled with meat - an inventive combination that immediately sparks curiosity. Rolled stuffed pork is served with štruklji and roasted potatoes. Mežerli, a traditional Carinthian dish, receives a contemporary interpretation. It is the kind of dish that needs no explanation; the first bite says enough. Dessert lovers are well looked after, and wines are available by the glass, encouraging guests to explore different pairings. That approach reflects the character of the house itself: relaxed and welcoming, free from unnecessary formality, yet always attentive to the complete dining experience.
