The name of the inn is no coincidence: its location proudly embraces the famous bora wind that clears the air and opens sweeping views toward the sea. Housed in a stone building surrounded by a lush garden, the inn’s homely interior immediately evokes the warmth and authenticity of the Istrian hinterland. Under new leadership, the kitchen remains faithful to a culinary heritage where land and sea meet naturally on the plate. Garden produce, the fresh catch of Piran fishermen, and premium meat from local farmers take center stage. The cooking is rooted in respect for pure flavours, with olive oil, fleur de sel, and Mediterranean herbs serving only to highlight what nature has already perfected. Every bite carries a piece of the region’s culinary tradition - from homemade fuži or gnocchi with beef or venison goulash to T-bone steak, ombolo, and tagliata served with roasted potatoes and crisp seasonal vegetables. Fresh Adriatic fish and succulent scampi also hold an important place on the menu. One should certainly not overlook the grandmother’s crostata. The delicate buttery pastry and silky lemon cream bring a refreshing brightness that gently awakens the palate after a rich Istrian meal.
