Chef's Restaurant
Gostilna Krpan is an inn with soul - a place filled with memories and stories where the past blends naturally with the present. Here, food is more than a meal; it is a celebration of the sea in all its freshness, simplicity, and richness of flavour. At the heart of the menu are raw seafood delicacies, particularly scampi, whose delicate texture and subtle sweetness delight even the most discerning diners. Every piece is carefully selected and served in a way that preserves its natural freshness and authentic character. Fresh fish, sourced daily, also plays a leading role. Prepared with restraint and confidence, the dishes allow quality ingredients to speak for themselves. Such simplicity is often more demanding than elaborate culinary techniques, and it is precisely in these seemingly straightforward preparations that the skill of the kitchen becomes most evident. Yet Krpan is far from being solely a seafood destination. The restaurant has also earned a reputation for its excellent gnocchi and pasta dishes. The gnocchi are soft, light, and deeply satisfying, while the pasta is cooked with precision and paired with rich, flavourful sauces that complement rather than overwhelm. Desserts remain faithful to the same philosophy. Homemade strudels filled with seasonal fruit provide a warm and comforting finale. Krpan’s enduring appeal lies in exactly that balance: a respect for outstanding ingredients, a commitment to honest cooking, and an atmosphere where every meal feels connected to a larger story.
