Looking for a touch of romance? In a magical setting by the Krka River, warmth and hospitality intertwine with carefully crafted local delicacies. The tables are most often graced by trout dishes, which the chef transforms into thoughtfully composed plates with great sensitivity. The menu is concise, yet it delights both lovers of this freshwater queen and devoted meat enthusiasts. During the warmer months, guests are treated to romantic views of the Krka River, while on colder days, the warmth of a crackling fireplace provides comfort. As a welcome, a slice of homemade onion bread is served with pickled tomatoes and game pâté. For a cold starter, we recommend the trio of trout spreads or the refined smoked trout with horseradish foam. Delicately seasoned courgette rolls with curd cheese are equally enjoyable. Trout also stands out among the main courses and enjoys a special status here: juicy and encased in a crispy polenta crust. Lovers of meat flavours will appreciate the expertly prepared venison fillet in a rich reduced wine sauce with plums. A slice of homemade crispy pie or strudel provides sweet satisfaction, while during plum season guests are treated to plum dumplings. The chestnut cream with pickled figs is equally enticing – a sweet finale that beautifully captures the character of the homestead: simple, homely, and full of flavour.
