Gault&Millau's review 2026

Argentino does not try to be small, quiet, or understated. Designed as a grand Argentine hacienda, with high ceilings, massive chandeliers, large paintings, and staff dressed in a style reminiscent of gauchos, it deliberately distances itself from the feel of a typical city restaurant. But Argentino makes its strongest impression on the plate. The steakhouse is built around the aromas of wood, glowing embers, and substantial cuts of beef. Meat and fire are at the heart of the experience, visible to all in the open kitchen. Grass-fed Black Angus beef is cooked on an authentic Argentine grill. Guests choose their preferred cut, weight, doneness, and side dishes, while the knowledgeable staff explain the different cuts and help with recommendations. As great meat takes time, many start with the excellent beef carpaccio made from Argentine tenderloin. Then comes the main event: meat from the grill. Each bite begins with a subtle smoky note, continues with a beautifully seared crust, and finishes with a juicy center that reflects precise cooking. The restaurant also offers an excellent selection of Argentinian wines. For those wishing to take a piece of Argentina home, fresh beef is available for purchase and preparation at home.
