The best of 2023: 10 restaurants and 8 special awards in 7 categories

The best of Gault&Millau Slovenia 2023 were announced at Hotel Slon in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We awarded 10 prizes for the best restaurants, awarded with 4 caps, and the traditional special prizes in 7 categories.

This year, we have awarded two Chef de la Tradition titles, simply because they have both been so committed to preserving the region's rich culinary heritage, its close links with local agriculture and raw materials, foodstuffs, and also its close links with the local community or social environment. This year's selection also featured some fresh, young names, who received a roaring applause at the awards ceremony. We are already looking forward to their new creations and creative stories; let the Gault&Millau Slovenia Awards 2023 be an extra boost!

"We are proud of all our established restaurateurs, waiters and sommeliers who maintain the quality and excellence of their restaurants year after year, but we are also impressed by the new names that are just making their way into Slovenian and international gastronomy. At Gault&Millau Slovenia, we are convinced that an important part of our mission is to identify these upcoming stars, highlight them and encourage their recognition, because they have a lot of good and beautiful things to offer to both the national and international public," said Mira Šemić, Director of Gault&Millau Slovenia, on this occasion.
