Kamnik has become home to a number of small craft breweries, but the oldest among them is Mali Grad. What makes it especially distinctive is that beneath the brewery lies a taproom where sourdough pizzas are baked and served fresh from the oven. The taproom itself is intimate, with only a handful of tables, so making a reservation is highly recommended. Service is impressively fast, ensuring that the delicious pizzas arrive at the table without delay. Unsurprisingly, most adults pair them with one of the house-brewed beers. The beers are served in tasting pours of one, three, or five deciliters, making it easy to sample different styles. As for the food, guests can choose between classic and gourmet pizzas, while homemade sandwiches and pizza rolls provide additional options for those looking for something different.
