Zvezda Café is a true star of Ljubljana’s pastry scene. Its display cases are filled with so many tempting creations that your gaze drifts from classic cakes to raw and vegan varieties, from indijančki and chocolate hedgehogs to cream slices, pies, brownies, and macarons. The signature Zvezda cake, gluten-free Pavlova, Sachertorte, Chocolate Dreams cake, and vegan mango cake are just a few of the house classics worth trying. If you are not in the mood for something sweet, the café also serves sandwiches, panini, and toasts. They brew excellent coffee, pour sparkling wine, and mix a fine spritz or other cocktails as well. The stars in the sky may be far away, but this one is right in the heart of the city. And you do not need a rocket to reach it - only curious taste buds.
