There is probably no lover of Serbian cuisine in Ljubljana who is unfamiliar with Gostilna Čad. Thanks to its charming atmosphere and consistently good food, guests return time and time again. Rarely alone, often as couples, and most frequently in larger groups celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Waiters carry generous portions of čevapčiči, pleskavica, hanger steak, sausages, suckling pig, roast lamb, and steaks to the table, along with classics such as čorba, baked beans (prebranac), kajmak, Greek salad, baklava, and pancakes. Vegetarians are not overlooked either, with suitable options available on the menu. Just as the shade of the chestnut trees provides welcome relief during the summer months, a crackling fireplace creates a warm and homely atmosphere in winter.
