The place stretches across the heart of the Portorož beach, you are surrounded by sea and sand, the sun is shining, a light breeze is blowing, and you are sipping a lavender cocktail and eating a brioche with prosciutto. This is just one of the ideal scenarios for a summer day at Cacao, as they serve everything from water, matcha and iced coffee to bowls, salads, fruit cups and cakes. Their ice cream is a unique world of flavours, whether it is vanilla from Madagascar or hazelnut from Piedmont, they do not compromise when it comes to choosing the ingredients. When winter comes or the bora wind blows, the action moves to the glassed-in interior with a view of the sea, and instead of ice cream, the scent of hot chocolate or tea becomes more pronounced.
