This unique location on the outskirts of Solkan, once home to the lower station of the gondola lift to Sveta Gora, offers a close connection to nature, magnificent views of the emerald Soča River, and a welcome sense of escape from everyday bustle. A chilled platter of seafood delicacies continues this feeling of freshness, impressing with the pure flavours of the sea. Delicate tuna carpaccio is served on fresh arugula, while the tartare of sweet Adriatic prawns is sprinkled with black sesame seeds. Trout carpaccio delights alongside smoked cottage cheese, arugula, and young pickled onions. A salad of tender octopus with cherry tomatoes and black olives completes this refined quartet from the sea. The scallop is only briefly seared and served on creamy truffle polenta enriched with fresh herbs and freshly shaved black truffle. Slices of chicken breast, perfectly roasted and juicy, are covered with a creamy cheese sauce and complemented by crisp smoked pancetta, golden young potatoes, and quickly sautéed zucchini. For lovers of seafood, the kitchen prepares an excellent sea bass fillet that preserves all the succulence of its delicate white flesh, accompanied by oven-roasted baby potatoes and colourful seasonal vegetables. Every chocolate lover’s dream comes true with the chocolate soufflé served on vanilla cream. White chocolate is delicately folded into the cream, beautifully balancing the intensity of the dark chocolate center.
