Best restaurant - Hiša Franko

Even though Hiša Franko is located in one of the most remote parts of Slovenia, its eyes were always set out to the whole world. At first, this popular farm restaurant was led by Franko Kramar and now it is in the hands of Ana Roš and Valter Kramar. Roš, a self-taught cook, changed her career of a diplomat into a career behind the stove because of a very simple reason: love. Quickly, she became one of the most interesting chefs in Slovenia with a natural feeling for combining tastes and ingredients which many still nd crazy. While Valter was preparing Slovenia's first real cellar for aging tolmin cheese and collecting rare vintages of Slovenian and foreign biodynamic wines in his cellar, Ana was building her way through cooking. This has led her all the way to the top. With her daring style that always stayed true to Posočje and its incredible ingredients, she penetrated the world's elite circle of chef superstars.
