L'avis de Gault&Millau
Every good golf course, of course, needs a good restaurant. The King’s Club House is located next to the golf course, reminding of a big, luxuri - ous mansion in the recognisable Carniola-style, which offers its guests the comfort of a club house and the pleasure of a prestigious restaurant. Golf players don’t have time for long lunches, so the restaurant makes sure they always have some nice warm snacks on the terrace, but evenings are reserved for true culinary pleasures, both for golfers and outside guests. The natural scenery is absolutely stunning, which is why the elegant restaurant is made of glass – this way, your eyes can rest calmly while watching the greenery surrounding the house. From homemade delicacies, soups, pasta and salads to risottos and steaks, everyone can find something they will enjoy. The zucchini risotto with baby spinach and goat cheese was amazing, just like the grilled veal chop. They are true grill masters and really know how to keep the meat soft, gentle and full of rich flavour. Between the Alpine mountains, you can always enjoy the famous čevapčiči made from local beef and some homemade burek, which competes heavily with the cottage cheese štruklji. When it comes to desserts, we strongly recommend you to try the King’s schmarrn with homemade marmalade. Their wine list includes some special characters that will bring a smile to the faces of true connoisseurs.
