Gaube wine cellar is not only famous for its excellent wines but also for honest hospitality and wonderful food. The produce comes from their own field, they breed pigs and what they don’t produce themselves, they buy from local farmers. They are located right under the famous love road that forms the shape of a heart through the vineyards. When you start discovering these places, your heart will stay here forever. The idyllic terrace with views of the surrounding green hills and vineyards or their dining room will make you discover that the kitchen truly is the heart of each home. After reading their 3- or 5-course menu, you will quickly change your mind and decide for a gourmet day instead of “just tasting a few bites”. Start with a plate filled with excellent sausages and cheeses, minced lard spread or herb butter, smoked bacon and horseradish. The tortellini are silky, the marinated roastbeef is perfectly done and very tempting, just like the goose liver. The succulent pork tenderloin with herbs is served with soft, wonderful štruklji and roasted asparagus. Their sweet bites will make your day even sweeter. The rich feast is perfectly accompanied with their wines and to ease your stomach, have a shot of lovely grappa. If you wish to celebrate a special occasion, they will make sure that the special day stays in your memory forever.

He respects the traditions of Štajerska, uses homegrown products and upgrades his plates in a daring but perfect way, inspired by faraway, exotic places. Even though Hiša Denk offers menus with several courses, they will gladly prepare single dishes if you have a gentle stomach that cannot take too many plates. A great advantage is also that you can spend the night in their modern and comfortable rooms after your culinary adventure.
